Book release date update
Who-hoo!
I just spoke with the book distributor, they said the book is scheduled for release to retailers on March 15th...that's next Wednesday!
March 15th is almost one month ahead of the release date of April 12th that Amazon.com lists. Nice.
**3/17 UPDATE** Thanks to everyone who called us or emailed us asking about the book release date, but we don't have any more information about when the book will be available at retailers. We don't even have a copy of the book for ourselves! We expect to see it for the first time with everyone else at the Convergence conference next week.

Do you know what that date translates into for a date for Amazon.com to start shipping the book? I'm axiously awaiting my copy from Amazon!

I wish I knew! Based on my call with the book distributor, she made it sound like the book will start shipping to customers from retailers very soon (this week or next week).

just spoke with Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Borders Books. All 3 said the book is not in stock and is not in stock at the distributor.
Ohhhhh god... I want one.

as someone that was in manufacturing of branded consumer products for many years... I can't imagine calling one of my distys and getting a wishy washy story about when my product is shipping.
How about a few soul searching questions such as...
"DO YOU PHYSICALLY HAVE STOCK IN YOUR WAREHOUSE AS OF RIGHT NOW?"
"IF YOU HAVE PRODUCT IN YOUR WAREHOUSE, WHAT EXACT DAY ARE YOU SHIPPING ORDERS?
