Convergence is (finally) over. After 7 long days of content, meetings, socializing and walking several miles (the Dallas Convention Centre is HUGE), it is good to be home again. 7000 people attended which makes it one of the largest Microsoft events in the world.

This was the official start of the Microsoft Dynamics brand and there are already some really funny videos available to illustrate the new brand. Check them out on the website or find them here:
- too many erasers on stock?
- this is what happens if you bring in a good forecast
- the synchronized warehouse and the background noise

Jeff Raikes kicked the whole thing off, and talked about the People Ready campaign.

Bill Gates gave a great keynote showing some futuristic technologies. You can watch the webcast online.

Doug Burgum finally talked about the importance of communities, had some cool demos given by Satya Nadella and also announced EMEA Convergence. For the first time, this event will move outside the US borders and will be hosted in Munich, Germany on November 6-8, 2006. And yes, Bill Gates will also be there.

A word of comfort to all EMEA customers and partners, it won't be an exact copy of US Convergence (which is a good thing).

So, looking forward to that one...

Spread the word, Convergence is coming to a town near you. Well, sort of ;-)
