Dynamics CRM v3.0 - Assigning and Reassigning

One of the interesting items about service is how each case is impacted by any given Account that owns it.

If you use CRM out of the box, the default relationship for ACCOUNT to CASE is cascade all. What this means is that if you ASSIGN an Account to a different owner, it will update all the associated cases with the new owner. Now this is probably not desired and as such you might want to make some changes.

The below screen is reached through

  • SETTINGS,
  • CUSTOMIZATION,
  • CUSTOM ENTITIES,
  • ACCOUNTS,
  • RELATIONSHIPS,
  • ACCOUNT to CASE

Sometimes when I re-assing the owner of a case, from inside the case, the screen defaults back to its original state. Usually it will re-assing when I then click on "Cancel." Sometimes it will re-asign when I re-enter the information and try again. Is this a bug? Suggestions?
Thankx!
Kurt

When I open a case, the Notes field is sometimes blank when there are notes for the case. When I re-open the case, the notes are visible. Is this a bug?
Thankx!
